Wedding Ceremony & Reception

5:00 p.m - 10:00 p.m

Killington Peak Lodge

We're so excited to have you join us for our mountain-top wedding! Guests will enjoy a picturesque gondola ride up to the ceremony site at the peak, followed by an evening of food, drinks, and dancing inside the Peak Lodge.

A shuttle service starts at 3:45 p.m. to take guests from the Killington Grand to the base of the gondola. Parking is available at the K-1 Lodge parking lot at the base of the gondola, but we strongly urge guests to take advantage of the shuttle. Guests can begin loading the gondola at 4:00 p.m. Please keep in mind that the shuttle ride is 5-10 minutes, and the gondola ride is about 15 minutes. Let us know if you have any concerns or questions regarding the gondola (it really is easy to get on and off, and it can also stop for anyone who’d rather get on that way!).

Attire: Semi-formal. Lightweight suits in any color, cocktail dresses, floor-length dresses, or a nice pantsuit are all welcome! Please remember that our ceremony will be held outside atop a mountain, so consider bringing an additional layer for when the sun goes down (average low temps in August are in the 40s), and please be mindful of your footwear!

Late-night snacks

10:30 p.m - 12:00 a.m

Preston's Bar and Grill

Grab the shuttle back from the gondola to the hotel for a hang at the bar with some late-night snacks!

FAQ

When is the RSVP deadline? Do I mail back my RSVP or can I do it online?

Please make sure to RSVP by June 25, 2024, so we can ensure a great weekend! We are only accepting electronic RSVPs, so please click on the orange “RSVP” tab in the upper right corner of this website.

Can I bring a guest?

We will only be able to accommodate guests listed on your wedding invitation. Thank you for understanding!

Are kids welcome?

If your kiddo is a part of our immediate family, then yes! Otherwise, we appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time so you can celebrate with us. We have a list of local babysitters we’d happily share! Please let us know if you have any questions, and thank you so much for understanding.

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

The ceremony will be outside (weather permitting), and the cocktail hour and reception will be held just a few steps away inside the Peak Lodge!

What is the timeline for the wedding?

Our wedding ceremony will begin at 5 p.m., followed by a cocktail hour and reception. The evening will conclude at 10 p.m., followed by late-night snacks back at the Killington Grand.

Will transportation to the wedding ceremony and reception be provided?

Yes! Guests will be provided with a shuttle service from the Killington Grand Resort Hotel to the gondola base, where they will load the gondola and be transported to the Peak Lodge. The shuttle will also take guests back to the Killington Grand Hotel throughout the evening until the end of the night.

When does the shuttle service begin?

The shuttle will begin transporting guests from Killington Grand to the gondola base at 3:45 p.m. Keep in mind that the gondola ride to the Peak Lodge is approximately 15 minutes, so please allow yourself enough time to comfortably make it to the peak for the start of the ceremony at 5:00 p.m.

I’m driving to the gondola base. Where can I park?

Guests may leave cars in the parking lot at the base of the gondola, but we strongly urge everyone to take advantage of the shuttle service. Also, please keep in mind that ride-share options are extremely limited in the Killington area.

How do I get back down the mountain?

The gondola will be spinning all night to take guests back down to the shuttle. From there, the shuttle will take guests back to the Killington Grand.

What’s the dress code for the wedding?

Semi-formal.

Do you have a gift registry?

Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for! If you wish to honor us with a gift, contributing to our future together would be sincerely appreciated. You can find our registry here.

What if I have a dietary restriction?

One of the RSVP questions asks about dietary restrictions, so please make sure to note them there!

Are the ceremony and reception locations wheelchair accessible?

Yes! Please let us know if you require additional assistance during the weekend.

What will the weather be like?

Summers in Vermont are hot during the day and cool at night. For the wedding ceremony and reception, we will be at 4,200 feet, so the weather will be about 10 degrees cooler than at the base. We suggest bringing light layers for the evening hours!

What’s for dinner?

We have some yummy options for dinner! When you RSVP, you will be asked to choose from three entrees.
